Finally, last Sunday,
I was able to reach Cantalobo.
As my car isn't a
four-wheel drive and with the storm in Almuñecar, the road had been
impassable….
Under a beautiful sun,
accompanied by some friends, we "climbed" up to where the wolves are
singing….
What a change…you can
see for yourselves with the photos that I was taking….
The house of the Guard
is magnificent….the OP part, Pre-and Post operation, operating theater
excellent…large, lit, very clean….
The Nursery, too
pretty…..
The room of the
Volunteers with a super-modern kitchen and very clean…marvelous!
A large Central
building to receive the children coming by bus to see the dogs, take
them for walks, look at some videos…extraordinary. This large room will
also serve for dinner parties…..
Hôtel of dogs and cats….finished.
Alas, the part for the
dogs of the Association isn't quite finished….the roofs, water pipes and
electricity still have to be installed. But I noticed that each sleeping
quarter for the dogs will be provided of an anti-mosquito system, also
launching day and night, a anti-mosquito product…..a very new product….
A lot of Lemongrass
will be planted in front of all the boxes (you will know maybe that
mosquitoes hate Lemongrass)..
A lot of Lavender will
be planted….a study has been made, explaining that Lavender, apart from
its odor, has also a calming effect on dogs….so, we plant……
I am waiting for
Cantalobo….a little sad…..but I will continue to come and see my friends
every day…..its only a half an hour from La Higuera!
