I was hung from a tree….normal practice here when one wants to get rid of one's Galgo…….the murderous rope was cut on time by a foreign walker. I was taken to the Protection Society Noah's Arc….where I recuperated slowly from my injuries….but, psychologically I was very much affected; I have an acute phobia towards humans……
 
In a closed space, I can be caressed quite easily but, in open spaces, I refuse contact with humans….So, now I am with Julie….on the first night of arriving at La Higuera, Micky and I were sleeping with her…have accepted food from her hand. During three weeks, we stayed in a small garden, no problems, came inside at night, happy to find our large mattress….Julie judged that the moment had arrived….we were transferred to the large enclosure….but, there nobody can touch me; at the approach of man I flee….but, I come to eat out of Julie's hand.
The psychologist consulted by Julie, advises a castration…..

This dog comes from Noahs arc animal rescue.

Dodger is a Galgo (greyhound) about two years old and is vaccinated. He was found in Isla Plana wandering the centre. He was in a sorry state. He had a collar that had become too small and it embedded into Dodgers neck as he grew into this fine dog. The neck became infected with flies’ maggots and the skin was hanging off. From March time until July, ‘friends of Noah’ duly fed and watered him and he gained some confidence towards them. He was finally caught in early July where his collar was removed and his wounds treated by the vets. He is now well on the way to a full physical recovery but he still has bonding issues.  Although this dog will make a wonderful pet, time care and patience is what is need for him right now. Are you the type of person that can give your time to this very worth while cause called Dodger?

Denna hund kommer från Noahs ark animal rescue.

Dodger är en Galgo (greyhound) på ca två år och han är vaccinerad. Han hittades på Isla Plana vandrandes runt centrum. Han var i dåligt skick. Han hade ett halsband som blivit för litet och inskuret i halsen på Dodger medans han hade växt upp till den fina hund han är. Halsen var infekterad med flugor och larver i såret och huden hängde lös.
Från mars till juli hjälpte vänner till Noah till med att mata och ge honom vatten tills dom vann hans förtroende. Han blev fångad i början på juli och hans halsband kunde tas bort och såren behandlade av veterinärer.
Han är nu på god väg mot att bli frisk men han har fortfarande lite svårt med förtroendet till människor.
Men trots allt som hänt så kommer denna hund att bli en underbar vän, det behövs bara lite tid och tålamod med honom.
