Adopted by a young French woman...near Malaga.
Unfortunately she left us following a serious
illness...She adored Popeye and he loved her
too...they both lived in complete osmosis.
I 'rescued' Popeye a few months ago, promising to
look after him until she left the hospital..she
never left and Popeye is here with us.
He is a very intelligent, sociable and happy
dog..when he first arrived he was very affected by
his separation from Simone.
Now he seems to have forgotten (if that's possible)
and listens attentively to all the sounds of the
cars arriving at La Higuera!

In September, he was seen in the Marina in Motril,
sitting behind a Yacht anchored in this harbor! Then, in
October, the yacht left;
Gabriela, the Confectioner of Motril, saw him wandering
in the Port and coming to ask for some bits of food
outside her marvelous Pastry Shop…So, in view of the
sweetness of this "doggy" she brought him to me. Saw the
Vet to find the chip (there was none) and gave him the
complete vaccinations!
The sweetness and kindness characterizes Popeye. He
adopted me as do all of those at La Higuera…..House
trained, walking well on the lead, not conflictive…that's
Popeye, the Sailor of Motril!!
